PURPOSE: A body keeping coffin is provided to enable only the bereaved to see the body or give their condolences by installing sliding blind. CONSTITUTION: A body keeping coffin comprises a rectangular box(10), a body holder(20), a screen(30), a lid(40), a blind(50), and an air cooling/circulating unit. The body holder is installed in the rectangular box and a body is held on the body holder. The screen is installed on one side of the front of the rectangular box. The lid is slidably installed on the top of the rectangular box so that the inside of a space holding the body is air-tightly closed when the lid has been closed. The blind is slid on the top of the lid. The air cooling/circulating unit is installed on the inner central part of the body holder.
