PURPOSE: A secondary battery having the widened area of an active substance coating unit is provided to improve the welding ability between a thick uncoated unit and a current collector. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery comprises the following: a first electrode(11) including a first coated unit obtained by coating a first material to a first metal plate, and a first uncoated unit; a second electrode(12) including a second coated unit obtained by coating a second material to a second metal plate, and a second uncoated unit; an electrode assembly(10) obtained by locating the first and second electrodes on both sides of a separator(13); a case(20) for storing the electrode assembly; and current collectors(51,52) connected to the first uncoated unit. |
