Automated gearbox for city bus, has four double-side actuatable switching devices arranged on electric machine, transmission output shaft and combustion engine, respectively

The gearbox has a transmission output shaft (W2) coaxially arranged behind transmission input shafts (W1, W5). Jackshafts (W3, W4) are arranged axially parallel to the output shaft such that the jackshafts are directly drive-connected with the input shafts. Four double-side actuatable switching devices (S1-S4) are provided, where first and second switching devices are arranged on an electric machine (EM) associated with one jackshaft. A third switching device is arranged on the output shaft and a fourth switching device is arranged on a combustion engine (VM) associated with another jackshaft. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an automated gear box for a city bus.
