APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DRY TREATING METALLURGICAL MOLTEN SLAG

Apparatus for dry treating metallurgical molten slag comprises a molten slag leading-in unit (2, 3) and a treating furnace (1). The treating furnace (1) comprises a furnace body (9), a nozzle for granulating and cooling (4), and a multistage fluidized bed (6). The molten slag is granulated and cooled at the upper side of furnace body (9), and the hot granulated slag exchanges heat with uprising gas flow from the multistage fluidized bed (6) in a counterflow manner, and is subjected to secondary cooling in the multistage fluidized bed (6). Therefore, the granulation and cooling of the molten slag and the secondary cooling of the hot granulated slag can be continually operated in the same treating furnace (1). In addition, a method for dry treating metallurgical molten slag is also provided. The apparatus and method for dry treating can reduce the heat loss, and increase the total sensible heat recovery ratio of the molten slag.
