The surface has prismatic elements (11) inserted into a basic structure (10) such that refractive effect (13) of the prismatic elements is complemented to refractive effect of another base structure (5). Incident light is partially reflected under total internal reflection at a light input surface that is provided on the surface. An independent claim is also included for a solar concentrator comprising a prismatic base body.
