The embodiments of the present invention describe a method of managing transfers of data between a peripheral comprising a Bluetooth-type interface and an item of computing equipment comprising a Bluetooth-type interface configured so as to manage Bluetooth protocols allowing transfers of data of audio type characterized in that the exchange of digital data of nonaudio type between the peripheral and the computing equipment is carried out by encoding the digital data into audio format and by transmitting these digital data by way of the audio channel of the Bluetooth interface.
