<p>PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a driving method thereof are provided to suppress an in-rush phenomenon of a current inputted to a DC-DC converter by controlling an output voltage generated from the DC-DC converter before an LED lamp is turned on or off. CONSTITUTION: A backlight includes a plurality of LED lamp arrays composed of a plurality of LED lamps which provide light to a liquid crystal panel. A lamp driving unit applies an output voltage to the backlight and includes a DC-DC converter, a feedback voltage generator(520), and a PWM control unit. The feedback voltage generator generates a feedback voltage by estimating the on and off of the LED lamp according to a PWM control signal in advance. A DC-DC converter(510) generates an output voltage corresponding to the feedback voltage.</p> |
