PURPOSE: An operation input device is provided to enable the finger of an operation to feel rotation if the rotation operation is performed even if the finger of the operator operates the operation accepting unit. CONSTITUTION: An operation receiving unit(31) is projected from the handling hole(15) of a housing(10) and enables the sliding operation. The surface of an operation direction is an arched shape. An operation detection unit(35) detects a slide operation and outputs an output signal. If the slide operation is a rotating operation, the finger of operator feels the rotation operation feeling. The projection height of the operation receiving unit is a 0.3-1.1 millimeter. The radius of curvature of the operation receiving unit is 2.5-10.5 millimeter. The sliding dimension of the operation receiving unit is 0.3-1.1 millimeter.
