The multi-connector (10) has a friction clutch (14) which is switched to transmit torque from a clutch input shaft (12) to a drive shaft (16). A rolling element (28) is pushed in an inner space (30) through which a centrifugal force acts on the rolling elements during operation against bearing shells (24,26). An axial force is generated for prestressing a roller bearing (22). An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a multi-connector.
