PURPOSE: A method for displaying a 3D image is provided to flexible control the screen depth according to the genre of a displayed 3D image signal. CONSTITUTION: A video display device outputs a user interface for setting screen depth information by genre(320). The video display device stores the screen depth information per genre(330). According to the stored screen depth information by genre, the video display device controlled the screen depth of a 3D video signal to be displayed(350). The video display device displays the controlled 3D video signal(360).
