PURPOSE: Device and method of controlling the working trace of a construction machine using teaching and playback modes are provided to minimize error by compensating change in gravity by the pose change of a working device. CONSTITUTION: A device(100) for controlling the working trace of a construction machine using teaching and playback modes comprises an operating unit(110), a data storage unit(150), and a driving controlling unit(120). The operating unit generates joystick signals by the operation of a worker. The operating unit is formed so that the worker can select a teaching mode and a playback mode. The data storage unit stores trace data, which are generated based on joystick signals or the driving data of a driving unit(140). The driving controlling unit stores trace data corresponding to the operation of the worker in the data storage unit when the teaching mode is selected.
