AIR CONDITIONER FOR VEHICLE AND ITS CONTROL METHOD

PURPOSE: An air-conditioning apparatus for vehicles and a control method thereof are provided to heat cooling water using heat from electrical equipment and re-heat the heated cooling water using an electric heating apparatus, thereby reducing a package for heating. CONSTITUTION: An air-conditioning apparatus for vehicles includes electrical equipment(110), a water pump(130), a heater core(150), a heating device(140), and a radiator(160). The water pump cools heat generated in the electrical equipment by circulating cooling water. The heater core is connected to a cooling water circulation line(L) circulated by the water pump. The heater core heats air flowing to the inside of the vehicle using the cooling water heated by the heat of the electrical equipment. The heating device is connected to the cooling water circulation line in the upper region of the heater core. The heating device re-heats the cooling water heated by the heat of electrical equipment and sends the re-heated cooling water to the heater core. The radiator cools the cooling water before passing the electrical equipment by being connected to the upper region cooling water circulation line of the electrical equipment.
