The present invention relates to a lightweight necklace comprising: a ribbon assembly; a strand extending from each end of the ribbon assembly; and an adjustable knot, where the extending strands create the knot. The ribbon assembly includes a plurality of strands of ribbon yarn stitched and knotted together at the ends of the assembly. In one particular embodiment, the ribbon assembly includes five strands of ribbon yarn stitched to create a 14-inch length ribbon assembly. The knot provides a means to adjust the length of the tie strands. |
