Producing a material composition for a carbon-based, carbon fiber-based or -starch ceramic material, comprises (i) providing (a) at least one carbon-based, carbon fiber-based or -starch starting material as homogeneous powder with a grain size distribution having grain size of 15 mu m and (b) at least one binder as powder, (ii) producing a homogeneous mixed powder by intensively mixing the materials of step (i) and (iii) molding the homogeneous mixed powder to homogeneous material composition or a pre-form of the homogeneous material composition. An independent claim is also included for a material composition or a pre-form of a homogeneous material composition for carbon-based, carbon fiber-based or -starch ceramic material, preferably for highly rigid structure components, formed by the above method.
