The device (1) has a bearing unit (11) comprising a fixed holding element for supporting a sun-suspended function surface (2) or a holding device supporting the surface. The bearing unit comprises a variable holding part with an irradiation-sensitive portion. The portion is formed such that the holding part is varied based on irradiation intensity, and a sun-dependent alignment of the surface takes place. The portion is made of radiation-sensitive material, bimetal, piezoelectric, electrorheological, composite, rheological liquid and/or plastic materials. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a solar heat collector comprising a function surface (2) a method for positioning a sun-dependent alignment of a function surface of a solar heat collector and/or a shading device.
