The valve has a valve pin (3) arranged within a valve chamber (1) and stroke-movably guided in a sealing sleeve (2). The valve pin is axially pre-tensioned with respect to a valve seat (5) by force of a valve spring (4). The valve seat is supported at the valve pin and the sealing sleeve. The valve spring is designed as a helical spring, which is made from a wire with a rectangular section or a square cross section. Edge lengths of the wire cross section in a radial and/or axial direction amounts to 0.58 mm.
