[Class 44] The elements of a sliding - clasp fastener lie below the stringer tapes, their clamping notches 4 being arranged at right angles to the plane of interlocking, and are attached to beadings 2 situated at such a distance from the edges of the stringers 1 that the marginal portions of the stringers cover the elements when the fastener is closed. The elements may first be clamped on a cord which is then sewn to the stringer at the required distance from the edge. |
