PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily connect a connector to the terminal of an electro-fusion joint. SOLUTION: The clamping device (10) has a single support rod (20), the first gripping means (40) slidably attached to the support rod to grip the first resin pipe (Pa) inserted in the electro-fusion joint (E), and the second gripping means (40') slidably attached to the support rod to grip the second resin pipe (Pb) inserted in the electro-fusion joint. The support rod has a polygonal, for example, square cross-section. The support rod preferably has the first support rod part (21), the second support rod part (22), and a connecting means (30) bendably connecting the edge of the first support rod part and the edge of the second support rod part to each other.
