The method involves supplying material for producing a pavement to a road finisher (12), and homogenizing the material. The material for homogenization is utilized, where the material differs in characteristics of predetermined requests. The material used for homogenization is temporarily separated from the remaining material, and/or the remaining material is supplied to a reservoir (22) i.e. chamber. The material used for homogenization is supplied to a separate reservoir i.e. separate chamber. The material to be homogenized is supplied to the remaining material. An independent claim is also included for a paving train comprising a road finisher and a feeder.
