Class 113(1) In a hatch 11 having covers 13 rollable on a hatch member 12 with an extension 15, each cover has a stub 13a on each side towards its end for engaging in a mounting 16 on the extension 15, and a stop 19 for engaging a stop 18 at the end of the hatch. When a cover is rolled to the end of the hatch, its stop 19 engages the stop 18 and the stub 13a is thus located above its appertaining mount 16, which mount is a slot in a bar 17, and the cover is raised by a winch to a vertical position. In its closed position the rollers 14 of the cover are located partly in slots 26 in the member 12. When the cover is raised for moving the slots 26 are closed by a fillet 24 which swings from the dotted position to the full line position under the action of a weight 25. In other embodiments the fillet is slidable into and out of the closed position, or is pivoted to be swung up into. and held in, closed position by a pin.
