PURPOSE: A current saving circuit in a battery management system is provided to prevent current flow from a detection controlling unit to a main control device. CONSTITUTION: A current saving circuit(100) in a battery management system comprises a battery cell(110), a detection control unit(120), a main control unit(130), and a buffering unit(140). The battery cell settles and interlinks a battery. The detection control unit controls an operation for detecting the voltage of the battery cell or controls the voltage balancing of the battery cell. The main control unit measures a battery charged state or the state of the battery based on the detected voltage of the battery cell. The main control unit controls the charge and discharge states of the battery. The buffering unit is connected between the detection control unit and the main control unit. The buffering unit keeps a high level state to prevent the current of the detection control unit from flowing to the main control unit while the main control unit is shutdown.
