Valve having an inner sleeve 2 and outer sleeve 1. Relative movement between the sleeves creates an operating range 100 where the valve can be either open or closed. The inner sleeve may be axially slidable within the outer sleeve having a longitudinal operating range. The locking groove 30 may be annular. The inner sleeve may be rotatable within the outer sleeve. The deformable / yieldable area may have a locking piece 41. Increasing hydraulic pressure in a central bore of the inner sleeve can cause the plastic deformation.
