PURPOSE: A method for cutting the edge of a stick-shaped member into a round surface and a system thereof are provided to improving the productivity by cutting the edge of a stick-shaped member into a round surface through the receiving of a numeric value after recognizing the shape of a member. CONSTITUTION: A method for cutting the edge of a stick-shaped member into a round surface and a system thereof comprises an input unit(120), a recognition unit(140) and a cutting portion(160). The numeric value indicating the shape of a raw member and a processed member about the stick-shaped member is inputted to the input unit. The recognition unit grasps the shape of the raw material about the stick-shaped member based on the input numeric value. The cutting portion cuts the edge of the stick-shaped member through the processed shape.
