Method and system for measuring radiation doses in radiotherapy treatments

It is disclosed a method for measuring a radiation dose in a radiotherapy treatment. Radiation is detected by means of a detector (2) which outputs a current signal (s1) dependent on the detected radiation. Radiation dose is estimated by considering the current signal (s1) during at least one measuring time interval, starting of said at least one measuring time interval being obtained by comparing a threshold with the amplitude of a reference signal generated from the current signal. It is also disclosed a system for measuring radiation provided to a patient during radiotherapy treatments.
