PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "horizontal-stripe" fuel cell structure which hardly causes a crack, etc. in an inclusion interposed in an area between adjacent fuel electrodes even when reduction contraction or oxidation expansion of the fuel electrodes occurs.SOLUTION: A plurality of power generation element parts A electrically connected in series with one another are arranged at predetermined intervals in a longitudinal direction on each of upper and lower surfaces of a flat plate-like support substrate 10 having a longitudinal direction and a fuel gas channel 11 formed in the inside. An "inclusion" (such as part of the support substrate 10) is interposed in an area between adjacent fuel electrodes 20, 20 which belong to the adjacent power generation element parts A, respectively. Gaps are formed between both of the adjacent fuel electrodes 20, 20 and the "inclusion." Because the "gap" functions as a "buffer area," the "inclusion" hardly receives tensile or compression stress from the fuel electrodes even when reduction contraction or oxidation expansion of the fuel electrodes occurs. |
