<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent submicrometer-several hundred micrometer cutting chips formed during processing of glass such as cutting, shaving and edge face grinding from adhering or cohering onto a glass surface. <P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a glass member which can suppress the adhesion of glass cutting chips comprises a process (1) of preliminarily coating a glass surface with a nonionic surface active agent aqueous solution before the glass processing, a process (2) of processing the glass coated with the nonionic surface active agent aqueous solution in the process (1), and a process (3) of removing cutting chips generated in the glass processing process (2) together with the nonionic surface active agent aqueous solution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
