Method and device for acoustic emission control of snap-on connections

The method involves detecting a detent noise (I) developed during preparation of a detent connection between motor car components. The detent noise is stored (II). Noise developed during connection of motor car components with corresponding catch elements is monitored (III). The monitored noise and the stored detent noise are filtered (VI). The monitored noise is compared (IV) with the stored detent noise. A proper preparation of the detent connection is controlled based on comparison of the monitored noise with the stored detent noise. An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling a proper preparation of a detent connection between motor car components.
