PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a polarized light device for an LED is provided to prevent fracture due to a thermal shock using the aqueous solution for cross linkage containing an organic system cross-linker. CONSTITUTION: A polyvinyl alcohol film is swollen, cross-linked, and dyed. An aqueous solution for dyeing contains an iodine content of 1.0-3.0 mmol/L. The aqueous solution for cross linkage contains an organic cross-linker of 0.5-5 weight%. The organic cross-linker is selected from a group which consists of an aldehyde compound, a polyvalent carboxylic acid compound, and their derivative. An accumulation stretching ratio is less 5.50 times in swelling, dyeing, and cross-linking.
