FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of utilising reaction heat during synthesis of 1,2-dichloroethane from ethylene and chlorine in a direct chlorination reactor, where chlorine is produced during electrolysis of sodium chloride. At least a portion of reaction heat of formation of 1,2-dichloroethane is used to evaporate NaOH which is obtained as a by-product during electrolysis of NaCl when producing chlorine needed for direct chlorination, and apparatus for realising the method, consisting of a shell-and-tube heat exchanger with 2 fixed tube grids and a vat fraction part for NaOH, which is made such that feeding aqueous sodium hydroxide solution can be done out inside the pipe and feeding 1,2-dichloroethane can be done outside the pipe, and additionally includes a device which serves to feed aqueous sodium hydroxide solution into the pipe and for separation of said solution. ^ EFFECT: avoiding the need for coolers and optimising use of secondary heat. ^ 13 cl, 8 dwg |
