FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and may be used in fixing tubes in tube plates of heat exchangers. Tube shaped tip is fitted into tube hole of tube plate. Annular ledge is made on tip outer surface. Annular recess is made on tip inner surface in symmetry with annular ledge axis. Recess length is smaller than that of annular kedge cylindrical surface generatrix. Tube hole is provided with rectangular annular groove and central rib. In fitting tip in place, its annular ledge is arranged opposite the annular groove. Tube is locked and tip is fixed in tube opening. Thereafter, deforming force is applied to tip inner surface. Flexural strain is applied to annular ledge when it reaches said central rib. ^ EFFECT: jointing tube to tube plate, higher operating properties. ^ 6 dwg
