<p>FIELD: transport. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed brake comprises current conducting shoes, mechanism to elevate shoes and down them onto rail, mechanism to clamp them to rail and current source. Current source is connected via current conducting elements with one shoe and, via current controller, with another shoe. Said shoes are connected via insulators with aforesaid elevating and downing mechanism while current isolating gasket is arranged between shoes. Braking force adjusted by slave control system irrespective of conditions of the shoes and the rail. Control system consists of current controller receiving signal from adder output to compare braking acceleration setting signal from braking acceleration setting unit, and actual braking acceleration signal from braking acceleration transducer. ^ EFFECT: increased factor of friction between shoe and rail, smaller braking distance and higher safety. ^ 3 cl, 1 dwg</p> |
