PURPOSE: A gas valve for LPG pressure vessels is provided to maintain the original function of a gas valve by preventing a packing from being separated from a piston. CONSTITUTION: A gas valve for LPG pressure vessels includes an operating unit and a safety unit. The operating unit comprises an inlet, a fixture, and a flow path. The inlet port is formed in one side of the body of the gas valve. The fixture is fixed to the pressure vessel. The safety unit discharges a gas to open and closed a flow path when a pressure is over a certain level. The operating unit and the safety unit include packing(34,44) and piston(32,42). The packing presses a protrusion from the contact portion of the flow path. The packing is inserted into the piston. A combining projection is formed in the inner side of insertion holes(33,43) of the piston. A bonding groove is formed in the packing.
