DRIVING CIRCUIT FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DRIVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for driving a liquid crystal display device are provided to improve the quality of a display image by decreasing the variation of pixel voltage charged at each pixel at a high speed operation of a liquid crystal panel. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of sub pixels are arranged between odd data lines and even data lines and are connected to the odd data lines and the even data lines through a plurality of thin film transistors. Adjacent sub pixels share odd and even gate lines. A data driver(4) drives a plurality of data lines. A gate driver(6) separately drives even and odd gate lines with one frame unit. A timing controller(8) arranges image data to be suitable for a sub pixel array and supplies image data to the data driver. The timing controller controls the gate driver and the data driver by generating a data control signal and first and second gate control signals.
