PURPOSE: A method for providing a 3D color Doppler image and an ultrasound system therefor are provided to display the speed and direction of a blood flow with 3D images. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic wave data obtaining unit(120) transmits an ultrasonic signal to an object. The ultrasonic wave data obtaining unit receives an ultrasonic wave signal from the object. A processor(130) generates a Doppler signal which includes at least one of direction information and speed information as well as power information about an interesting object. The processor generates a 3D Doppler mode image based on the Doppler signal.
