PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF SODA

A process for preparation of soda comprises the ammonization and carbonization of solution of sodium chloride to prepare sodium bicarbonate and ammonium chloride. Ammonium chloride is treated with sulphuric acid to prepare hydrochloric acid and ammonium bisulphate, by which raw material containing calcium carbonate is treated to prepare gypsum and ammonium bicarbonate. At thermal decomposition of ammonium bicarbonate ammonia and carbon dioxide are regenerated and directed to the beginning of the process for ammonization and carbonization of sodium chloride.
