发明名称 METHOD OF RESISTANCE SPOT WELDING
摘要 The invention relates to welding engineering and can be used for resistance spot welding sheet metal (up to thick) of dissimilar steels (austenite + ferrite classes) and steels of the same structural class. A method of resistance spot welding in which prior to welding on one of sheets relief depressions are applied in the form of points having depth of 1.5- and an opening angle of 70-800, the step of relief points shall be 15-. Between the welded sheets a polyethylene packing (film) with a thickness of 0.4- is placed. During compression of electrodes the polyethylene packing (film) is perforated by the convex side of relief thus creating an electrical contact between the welded sheets. To avoid burn-through of polyethylene it is possible to use artificial cooling the welded sheets. The use of resistance spot welding through the polyethylene packing leads to complete sealing of the welded joint, elimination of the use of expensive and less technological advanced resistance spot and arc welding methods, and to the significant shortening the time of welded joint obtaining.
