PURPOSE: Development on a cold forging mold structure of a static-pressure piston cap of a 4+4 type is provided to concentrate pressure and improve static pressure since trapezoidal, semi-circular and triangular punches and an &phgr;-shaped groove are formed on four places. CONSTITUTION: Development on a cold forging mold structure of a static-pressure piston cap of a 4+4 type is as follows. An insert pad is installed in a die holder to protect the trapezoidal, semi-circular and triangular punches from damage.
