摘要 PURPOSE: A grinding apparatus using magneto-rheological fluid and a grinding method are provided to control the depth of a grinding groove by freely controlling the location of product through a supporting unit. CONSTITUTION: A grinding apparatus using magneto-rheological fluid comprises a wheel member(110), a metal micro fiber portion(120), a magnetic field forming unit(130), a wheel member driving portion(140) and a fluid supplier(150). The wheel member receives the torque and is rotated around a rotary shaft(112). The metal micro fiber portion comprises a plurality of metal micro strands at a fixed length. If the magnetic field is formed, the magneto-rheological fluid is absorbed in the metal micro fiber portion. The magnetic field forming unit comprises a pair of electromagnet units(131) and a power supply unit(133). If the power supply unit supplies the power to the electromagnet unit, a pair of electromagnet units forms the magnetic field. The wheel member driving portion is connected to the rotary shaft of the wheel member and the torque is offered to the wheel member. The fluid supplier supplies the magneto-rheological fluid and grinding slurry to one side of the metal micro fiber portion.
