PURPOSE: A revetment for preventing water leak and a method of constructing the same are provided to absorb and discharge moisture and salt sent to an existing soil slope using a porous mat and prevent the settlement or collapse of the existing soil slope. CONSTITUTION: A revetment for preventing water leak comprises a ground layer(10), a porous mat layer(20), a ground-reinforcing mat layer(30), a soil cover layer(40), a vegetation mat layer(50), and a drain port(60). The ground layer makes the surface of an existing soil layer a stair shape to form a stair-type cutting face(11). The porous mat layer is formed with a given width along the stair every interval in a length direction along the cutting face of the ground layer. The porous mat layer absorbs moisture and salt flowing out of the ground layer by water leak and discharges water on the stair through air gap. |
