<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment method and apparatus with which a plurality of times of hardening treatments can be quickly performed for one workpiece and manufacturing of a shaft whose strength is made high can be easily obtained in a short period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The heat treatment apparatus is a hardening apparatus which performs the hardening treatment for the workpiece by performing heating and cooling while relatively vertically moving the long workpiece in the length direction, and is provided with a heating and cooling section in which a plurality of pairs of the heating parts constituted of the annular high frequency induction heating coil, and the cooling parts positioned at the lower part of the heating part and for cooling the workpiece heated in the heating part are arranged, and a moving section which supports the both end parts of the workpiece and relatively vertically moves the supported workpiece with respect to the hardening section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
