<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure waterproof property and dustproof property by improving sealing performance between a first housing and a second housing without increasing the number of parts. <P>SOLUTION: A portable electronic device includes a case body 2 that is constituted by a first housing 3 and a second housing 4 being coupled with each other and has opening/closing sections 8 and 9; cover bodies 18 and 30 that are supported by the case body and open/close the opening/closing sections; and packings 17 and 29 that are disposed on the case body while being sandwiched by the first casing and the second casing. Ribs 12 and 25 are provided at the opening/closing sections. When the opening/closing section is closed by the cover body, the cover body comes into contact with the rib and a fastening force is given toward the direction in which the first casing and the second casing are brought into close contact, so that the packing is crushed between the first casing and the second casing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
