PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing latency in a group communication network at a controller.

SOLUTION: The method comprises: determining whether any media frame belonging to a communication protocol is lost, the media frame being directed to the controller 104; and modifying the communication protocol if a media frame is lost. Further, buffering the media traffic is performed until the receiver of the media traffic is ready for receiving the buffered media traffic.
