<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate processing on a receiving side. <P>SOLUTION: A subtitle processing unit 133 converts subtitle data for a two-dimensional image generated by a subtitle generation unit 132 to subtitle data for a stereoscopic image corresponding to a transmission format of stereoscopic image data which is provided from a data acquisition unit 130 to a video encoder 113. The subtitle data for the stereoscopic image has data for left-eye subtitles and data for right-eye subtitles. The subtitle data for the stereoscopic image is generated to have parallaxes between the left-eye subtitles and the right-eye subtitles. On a receiving side, based on the subtitle data for the stereoscopic image, the display data of the left-eye subtitles superimposed on left-eye image data of the stereoscopic image data and the display data of the right-eye subtitles superimposed on right-eye image data of the stereoscopic image data can be easily generated, so that the processing is facilitated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
