<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a music representation game which incorporates an accidental factor in addition to the conventional competition on the accuracy of representation operation. <P>SOLUTION: The game apparatus for attaining the music representation game in which a player operates a button according to game image and music is configured to randomly select a predetermined special dramatic effect while determining a time for generating the effect during the game and to display a game image containing an object indicating the special dramatic effect in the progress of the game. The game apparatus is further configured to reflect, when it is determined that the player operates the button at an appropriate time, the special dramatic effect to the content of the game as successful acquisition of the special dramatic effect.
