The disclosed device that is for elevator repair work and that is for providing a joint shaft attachment hole to the end surface of a motor shaft is provided with a positioning member provided with a concavity to which the end of the motor shaft fits. The displacement of the positioning member with respect to the motor shaft in the directions perpendicular to the axis line of the motor shaft is regulated by the end of the motor shaft fitting into the concavity. The bottom surface of the concavity is provided with a motor shaft positioning hole that is penetrated by a positioning member in a direction that intersects with the bottom surface of the concavity. The position at which the joint shaft attachment hole is provided to the end surface of the motor shaft is identified by means of the position of the motor shaft positioning hole when the end of the motor shaft is fitted to the concavity.
