<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain melting yield as high as the melting yield obtained when collected printing plates are melted with reproduced bare metal because an oxidizing loss can be reduced even when the collected printing plates are directly melted together with new bare metal. <P>SOLUTION: New bare metal 37 is melted in a first melting furnace 12 so as to form molten metal 37A, and the molten metal 37A is sent to a second melting furnace 13.
