<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power supply/demand system capable of simultaneously coping with nighttime surplus power and daytime peak power. <P>SOLUTION: An electric power receiver 1 is equipped with a device 5 for measuring and controlling power reception amount and power distribution amount, an Li battery 7 capable of accumulating electric power, and a power control device 6 thereof as well as a device 2 for receiving electric power such as a power distribution device. Ordinarily, during midnight in which electric power is less consumed, the electric power is supplied to a lithium or lithium ion battery (hereinafter referred to as Li battery) 7 adjacent to the electric power receiver 1 from a power company 4, and the electric power is accumulated in the Li battery 7. The electric power accumulated in the Li battery 7 is discharged (distributed) on the spot during daytime, to complement the power distribution from the power company 4. Further, the electric power accumulated in the Li battery 7 may be returned to the power company 4 through a power line 8 and then distributed again to a requested place, as well as consumed for own use at the electric power receiver 1.
