<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a position of a discharge arc and to prevent trouble such as a valve from being deformed or damaged by local elevation of a tube wall temperature in an electrodeless discharge lamp. <P>SOLUTION: At a position that becomes a terminal of a direction of an electric field to be applied inside a discharge container, a recess is provided for storing a sealed material so as to become an origin of discharge during lighting, and the discharge container in the recess is made thicker than other portions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
