PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IL-1β binding antibody or IL-1β binding fragment thereof comprising a specific amino acid sequence.

SOLUTION: There are provided: a nucleic acid encoding the antibody or antibody fragment; a vector comprising the nucleic acid; a cell comprising the nucleic acid; compositions comprising the antibody, the nucleic acid, or the vector; a method for using the same to treat or prevent a disease; and a method for preparing an affinity matured IL-1β binding polypeptide. The IL-1β binding antibodies or IL-1β binding fragments thereof have desirable affinity and potency.
