<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a health warning device for servo motor and calculation method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A health warning device of a servo motor and a calculation method therefor is used for estimation of vibration situation of a computer numerical control machine tool. First, a vibration detection unit generates a vibration signal and then the vibration signal is transmitted sequentially to a data buffer. Next, a time frequency region conversion unit performs time frequency region conversion of the vibration signal. Finally, a deterioration index calculation unit calculates a deterioration index, and a health index calculation unit is used to obtain a health index. Therefore, a built-in vibration detection unit can be used to allow omission of unnecessary detector attachment and wiring therefor. Furthermore, according to large or small of the health index, the vibrating situation caused by rotation of the servo motor in the computer numerical control machine tool is estimated.
